Six of Pentacles description

The Six of Pentacles is about the giving and receiving of energy, which manifests in reality in the form of money, acts of service, food, health, etc. This card depicts a rich man giving money to two poor people. The beggars are the impoverishment of the soul, what happens when there is no connection to the divine. The rich man holds a scale, a symbol of authority and justice. He’s weighing out the money carefully. If he gives all of his energy away, he’ll be on the wrong side of this scene. The castle in the background is his sense of security and the trees represent our dominion over nature.

Upright meaning

Upright, this card is a sign that an investment will come through, or you will receive financial help from a generous friend or employer. Money affairs will stabilized and you will be able to share your prosperity with others. Put the money to good use. This card can also be a sign that justice will be served, and the seeker will get what is rightfully his. It’s time to give others what they are able to receive. Recognize the divine in everyone, the spark that within you is reflected in their eyes. You might be feeling more sympathetic than usual. While it’s good to share, make sure that you save some of your energy for yourself.

Reversed meaning

In reverse, the Six of Pentacles can mean that any money owed or promises made will need to be paid. You might be trying to organize an even distribution of funds or resources. You might be giving to others too freely, without getting anything in return. Do not cut yourself short. It’s important to have an even exchange of energy with others. Any charity that you give should not be worn as a badge on your ego. This card can be a warning not to take on any debt at this time. In relationships, make sure that one person’s generous spirit is not being taken advantage of by the other.
