The Knight of Swords is an excellent guide into the new year. He is smart, ambitious, and quite the charmer. The white horse that he rode in on, represents the purity of intellectual energy that motivates the knight to take action. This card is full of motion and energy. This knight is on a mission, and so are you. Get on the horse.
This week, we have four major shifts involving Capricorn, Taurus and Sagittarius, that are going to help us accomplish great things as we set the stage for a successful year.
First, Mercury enters Capricorn on Friday, which has a sobering effect. Our thinking becomes more practical and methodical. We have a more realistic point of view. You might be working on a resolution, a new goal or a way of improving yourself.
Second, we have a new moon in Capricorn and a partial solar eclipse on Saturday. It will not be visible from Rhode Island, but you can click here to see a map of the shadow on Earth. The new moon, in a new year, ushered by Capricorn, is such a perfect combination to make big moves this week.
Capricorn is represented as a goat. Think about the way that goats can climb the steepest, most twisted sides of the mountain. It’s all about using your natural talents, quick thinking and determination. Much like our friend, the Knight of Swords. Use this fresh start to sober up and put in the work that will pay off as you charge towards your goals in 2019.
Third, Uranus goes direct in Taurus on Sunday. Reflect on choices and situations that are present, tangible, happening right now. Work on getting your mind to a place of trust in the universe. Let things unfold.
Fourth, Venus enters Sagittarius on Monday. The romantic feelings we experienced earlier, when Venus was in Scorpio, have developed into more of a universal feeling of love. You might be feeling more adventurous. Take charge like the Knight! Be smart, passionate and risky. Go for the promotion; take the trip; try something new; dream big. Happy New Year!
